Terms of Service

1. The Service

Speculos hosts and serves apps you build in your own tools, such as Claude Code. You install the Speculos plugin and type deploy; your app is built on your own computer, and Speculos puts the finished app online at a link you can share. The free tier hosts unlimited frontend apps with no account needed, and includes one backend app once you create a free account. Team and Enterprise plans add unlimited backend apps, your own domain, per-app link permissions, company data connections set up by your admin, a dashboard, and admin tools for teams.

2. Eligibility

You must use the Service for lawful purposes only. Team and Enterprise plans require a valid work email. If you are signing up on behalf of an organization, you confirm you have authority to do so.

3. Your apps and content

You own your apps — the source code on your computer and the built version we host. Speculos has no claim to them. You grant Speculos a limited license to store and serve the built app solely as needed to operate the Service. We do not train models on your apps. We may use aggregated, de-identified usage patterns to improve the Service.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to publish or use apps that:

• Violate any applicable law or third-party rights
• Contain malware or are used for phishing, scams, or deception
• Include content you do not have the rights to publish
• Collect personal data without proper notice and a lawful basis

You also agree not to:

• Abuse the infrastructure (for example crypto mining or bypassing rate limits and quotas)
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
• Probe or breach the isolation between published apps
• Resell or sublicense access to the Service without our written consent

We may take a deployment offline or suspend access immediately if we believe these rules have been violated.

5. Sharing and access levels

Free-tier links can be opened by anyone who has the link. On Team and Enterprise plans you choose an access level for each app — private, org-wide, or public — and a public link can be opened by anyone who has it. You are responsible for choosing the level appropriate for each app and for what you share. Org access uses work-email sign-in, and admins control which email domains can join and the organization's domain. An admin who connects a company data source confirms they have authority to grant that access on behalf of the organization, and controls which people and apps may use it.

6. Free tier, paid plans, and changes

The free tier is free and hosts frontend apps plus one backend app; use is subject to fair use and may change with reasonable notice. Team and Enterprise plans are available by contacting us, and pricing is agreed with you before you are charged anything. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. The Service is provided “as is” with no uptime SLA, and features may change or be removed with reasonable notice. We may also update these Terms; we'll give reasonable notice of material changes, and continued use after notice constitutes acceptance.

7. Deletion and termination

You can take any deployment offline yourself at any time, and either party may terminate at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access immediately for violations of these Terms. On termination, your hosted apps, account information, and associated logs are deleted within 30 days, except limited records we must keep to comply with law, resolve disputes, or prevent abuse.

8. Running in your own cloud

Some teams run Speculos inside their own cloud. In that setup, your apps and their data stay on infrastructure you control, and you are responsible for that environment. These Terms continue to govern your use of the Speculos software and service.

9. Subprocessors

We use a small number of vendors to deliver the Service, including AWS (hosting for published frontend apps), Daytona (isolated sandboxes where apps with backends run), Composio (connects team-plan data sources and holds their access tokens), Cloudflare (website hosting), Formspree (contact form), and Google Analytics (website analytics). 10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Speculos and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill arising from your use of the Service. The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim all warranties to the extent permitted by law, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
