Terms of Service
Last updated: May 20, 2026
These Terms govern your use of the Speculos service. By accessing or using Speculos, you agree to them. If you're using Speculos on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.
1. The Service
Speculos is an internal-app builder for non-technical operators. You describe what you want in plain English; Speculos's agent builds a working internal app wired to the data sources you connect. Apps are shared with your team at a real URL inside your workspace.
2. Eligibility
You must provide a valid work email to use Speculos. You must use the Service for lawful purposes only. If you are signing up on behalf of an organization, you confirm you have authority to do so.
3. Account responsibilities
You agree to provide accurate information and keep it current. You are responsible for activity under your account and your team members' accounts in your workspace. You are the data steward for your workspace — you are responsible for managing team access and for the data sources you connect.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Connect data sources you do not have authorization to access
- Use Speculos's connectors to query data beyond the scope of the permissions you granted at connect time
- Build apps that bypass your own organization's access controls
- Use the Service to violate any applicable law or third-party rights
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
- Bypass rate limits, quotas, or security mechanisms
- Resell or sublicense access to the Service without our written consent
We may suspend access immediately if we believe you have violated these rules.
5. Data sources you connect
You control which data sources are connected to your workspace. By connecting a source (HubSpot, Salesforce, Postgres, Google Sheets, Notion, Snowflake, or any other), you confirm that you have authority to grant Speculos read (or write, where applicable) access to that source on behalf of your organization. You can disconnect any source at any time; disconnecting immediately revokes Speculos's access.
6. Apps you build
You retain ownership of your app definitions, prompts, and any output they produce. Speculos has no claim to your app definitions or app output. You grant Speculos a limited license to host and execute your apps solely as needed to operate the Service. We do not train models on your app definitions or prompts. We may use aggregated, de-identified usage patterns (e.g. which connector types are most common) to improve the agent.
7. Access control on shared apps
When a teammate opens a published app URL, they authenticate via your workspace's SSO or verified email domain. Publicly accessible (unauthenticated) app URLs are optional and disabled by default. You are responsible for configuring the access level that is appropriate for each app.
8. Subprocessors
We use a small number of vendors to deliver the Service, including AWS (hosting, compute, and Amazon Bedrock for hosted LLM inference), Vercel (frontend hosting), the data-source providers you connect, and standard analytics and observability vendors. If you opt to bring your own LLM provider key in a future release, that provider becomes a subprocessor on your behalf. See our Privacy Policy for the full list.
9. Beta service status
Speculos is in beta. The Service is provided “as is” with no uptime SLA. Features may change or be removed with reasonable notice. Access during beta is free. Before we begin charging, we will announce pricing and give you the opportunity to opt out or upgrade. Fees, when introduced, will be non-refundable except where required by law.
10. Termination
Either party may terminate at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access immediately for violations of these Terms. On termination, your app definitions, connector credentials, and usage logs are permanently deleted within 30 days. You may export your app definitions before deletion.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Speculos and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill arising from your use of the Service. The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim all warranties to the extent permitted by law, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
